All across The West there is a growing feeling that things are going in the wrong direction:
- freedom of speech is under threat
- ‘cancel culture’ in our universities
- our history maligned
- the use of evidence declining in favour of ‘lived experience’
- fathers losing access to their children on flimsy evidence
- intolerant cultures demanding we change
- government disempowered by judges and quangos
- merit replaced with diversity quotas
- 50% of university graduates not getting a degree-level job
- high level of migrants to fill jobs with few UK applicants
- high and rising levels of public debt
- nanny state replacing the responsible, resilient individual
- fertility rates falling well below replacement
Some draw parallels with the decline and fall of previous empires and that the decline of The West is inevitable. We do not agree. These pages will bring together the arguments, evidence and action. Modern communications mean that we can awaken sufficient people to the challenge and reverse the trends.
It will not be easy, but “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
