Men and Boys Issues

There are a number of areas where men and boys are at a disadvantage. There is a list below and the sub-pages in this tab link to some policies.

Young men in Britain are growing up in a world which appears to reject them. Many are simply dropping out. There is no way we can Revive Britain unless we can give young men hope and a dream to follow.

Ten disadvantages for Men and Boys

Men and boys are:

  1. behind girls at every stage of education and are more likely to be excluded from school;
  2. only 45% of university entrants;
  3. 13% aged 16 to 24 years are NEETS (Not in Education, Employment or Training);
  4. suicide death rates three times higher;
  5. life expectancy is 3.7 years lower;
  6. more likely to die of a cancer or Covid;
  7. 83% of Rough sleepers;
  8. 96% of prisoners. 
    Many abused as children / have learning difficulties;
  9. too often growing up with little or no contact with their father;
  10. often portrayed in a negative light in the media.
